VAPNMeter ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information when you use it.

VAPNMeter does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.

• All monitoring features operate locally on your device.
• The app does not require user accounts and does not collect personal identifiers.

Network Monitoring

VAPNMeter reads network statistics provided by the Android operating system in order to display:

• download and upload speed
• network latency (ping)
• packet loss
• data usage (WiFi and mobile data)

These values are processed only on your device and are never transmitted externally.

Permissions Used

VAPNMeter may request the following permissions:

• INTERNET
  Used to perform network ping checks and measure latency.
• PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS (Usage Access)
  Used to read network usage statistics from the Android system for displaying mobile and WiFi data usage.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE / NOTIFICATIONS
  Used to display real-time network information while the app runs in the background.
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED
  Used to optionally restart monitoring automatically after device reboot if the user enables this feature.

These permissions are used solely for the core functionality of the app.

Data Storage

VAPNMeter stores only local configuration settings on your device, such as:

• ping host
• monitoring preferences
• update interval settings

This information never leaves your device.

Third-Party Services

VAPNMeter does not use third-party analytics, advertising services, or tracking libraries.

No user data is shared with external services.

Security

Because VAPNMeter does not transmit or store personal data externally, there is minimal risk of data exposure.

All monitoring operations are performed locally on the device.

Children's Privacy

VAPNMeter does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
